Musician:

People in music come from all walks of life. Many times people who end up as professional musicians started fiddling with and playing instruments at a young age. There are many different instruments to play, styles to learn, and skills to have. On average a professional musician will practice an average of 25-35 hours a week, not including rehearsals with the ensemble and performances. This time may vary due to the setting and the level of music being played. There are a few general steps to becoming a professional musician.

Due to the fact that this is an artistic profession, there are no educational requirements to be a musician. Dedication to training and practicing, refining one's skills is the main step to becoming a professional musician. Each person’s path is unique and there is no right or wrong way to get there.
